Manifesto

Your taste, kept on your own shelf.

01Where references go to be lost

Everyone who makes things keeps a library, whether they call it that or not. Ours lived in bookmark folders we never reopened, a downloads folder called misc, screenshots named by the date, and boards on platforms that decide what we see next. The pictures were saved, but they were never ours to keep: an account closes, a service changes its mind, a link goes dead, and years of looking go with it. We made collecting effortless, and keeping impossible.

02A library you own

Galleri puts your library back on your own computer. Every picture, note and document is an ordinary file in a folder you choose, readable with or without us, next week or in twenty years. Search and tags are worked out on your machine, so nothing you save is ever sent anywhere. There is no feed, and nobody deciding what you see next. Only what you chose to keep, arranged the way you think.

03How we make it

We build Galleri to be small, quick and quiet. It works offline, keeps no record of how you use it, and is paid for once instead of rented month after month. A feature only earns its place if it helps you find something faster than you could describe it. And if Galleri disappeared tomorrow, your library would still be there, folder by folder, on your disk. A tool for keeping things should be the last thing you worry about losing.
